pressure in chest?
I don't know if anyone can point me in the right direction - dh has been experiencing what he describes as pressure on his chest (in his chest?). He doesn't have any other symptoms, although he has been experiencing some headaches that are pretty strong and last along time without being relieved by advil.
He has no asthma, I don't think it is his heart, as it comes and goes, but can last for several hours at a time. I thought maybe some type of heartburn or reflux? Usually when he gets that he has the sour burning thing in his throat and has excess saliva.
Does this sound like anything?

if he isn't experiencing loss of energy or disorientation, it's probably not a heart attack. especially if it comes and goes.
try to see if it is related to when he eats, it could come up an hour later. and the headache may be related to a food alergy, it may have nothing to do with the pain in the chest, but I just don't know any correlation, doesn't mean there isn't one.
Try taking some digestive enzymes before a meal and see if that helps. A combo of enzymes is best.
Also, look out for any other symptoms, physical or emotional that may be related to the cycle of "attacks".
cheers!

Could it be anxiety? Often that manifests itself physically with a feeling of pressure, shortness of breath, or a sense that you're suffocating. It usually goes with dry mouth, but who knows? FWIW, anxiety isn't always situational, so the symptoms may come on without any evident precursor.

I wonder the same as RachelGS--I get those symptoms if I'm under anxiety--like when we first decided to buy a house, and the week after 9/11. I actually took myself to the ER a couple of months ago when it happened and everything was ok. I hope he is ok, too!

Thank you everyone for your replies - he thought it might be stress too, but for once in his life he actually wasn't stressed - go figure! He thought it may be heartburn too, and took some mylanta or something I think. He hasn't had it since then. I think if it returns, or the headaches, I'll make him write down everything he eats and see if I see a pattern.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! :)
