I Saved BS of CA Money
So far I've completed 48 treatments with my home UVB Narrowband unit, since receiving it the end of December 2005. If I had to go to my Derm's office is would have cost my insurance (BlueShield of California), $4272 (at $89 x 48 treatments). My Daavlin unit only cost them $3970. Imagine how much I will save them by the end of just this year! Not to mention over the next 5 years.
Did I even get a thank you from them, of course not. All I got was a year long battle over getting approval for my unit. You would think they could just have done the math to see approving people to get home units is a win win situation.

You forgot to tell us the most important part of your story--how has the light booth been working for you? Are you seeing any clearing? I hope so.

It's been working better than I had hoped. Well actually I already knew how well broadband UVB worked for me but Narrowband is fantastic. No burning issues and I've gotten the hang of the Dosimetry system. I hope to soon go into maintenance mode, with only once or twice a week treatments. Currenty I've been doing treatments 5 days a week. The best thing is I never have to miss a treatment due to my work schedule.

Hi,
I am so glad you were able to get the unit!! I've been following your quest to get it. The best part is that you are seeing improvement and at you home too!!

Currently how long do you expose to a treatmet. How long before you started to see improvements, and how long before you have cleaned to be thinking of going to a maintenance mode?

I'm only at 315 mJ right now per side. I started my home treatments the end of December 2005. I go up around 5 mJ per session, 5 days a week. When I see no more gains, probably in another month or so, I will scale back my treatments to once or twice a week.
I started my treatments at a very low dosage because I wasn't familar with the Dosimetry system and never used Narrowband before. My Derm used a timer system with broadband.

I'm now only doing 3 treatments a week and increasing by 1mJ per session. All is still great! Oh and still no thank you from from my insurance company (BlueShield of California), for saving them a ton of money on UVB treatments.

Resist,
What a joke, huh? How people have to fight with insurance companies to save the insurance company money in the long run makes NO SENSE to me....good for you that you were able to fight the battle....
