Update
I recently got my approval for disability. Took a year and 9 months but got it and they are retro paying me as of June 1, 2003. So, I should get a lump sum. I have been working hard on getting this support groups started and running. I never thought it would be so hard to get ppl together. I am getting the help of a pharm rep that has a new topical medication that clears P within 1, yes 1, week. I don't know the name of it yet, but as soon as I hear it I will let you all know. This Pharm Rep is going to order lunch for office staff and I will be able to give a presentation along with him about the Foundation and our support groups. I have had a hard time with one inparticular office. They refused to let me speak to the doctors unless I brought the whole office staff lunch- which I believe is bull. Anyways, I have been having problems with the Division of Family Services. Seems my neighbor (whom we are taking to court for a nuisance house) decided to call the Child Abuse Hotline on me and made three false reports. So, I am trying to get that all cleared up. My psoriasis had a flare up but no PA like it was. I am doing better each day and am planning on being in Portland with hopefully all of you for the conference. Hope everyone is doing well.
Talk to you soon,
Debbie

I have a question. I have read many posts that pertain to disability, but how do you survive until they approve you? Are you still able to work through the process?
