Co-pay assistance...Please read
Hi everyone,
I know it's been quite a while since I've been on the message boards, but I thought I'd drop a line and give an update. In particular on my experience with the Healthwell Foundation (copay assistance). They had paid about 50% of my $300 monthly copay for 2005, which was fantastic. They were very slow in sending the reimbursements, but otherwise they were good to deal with.
Until now. When I had to reapply for this year.
Although I filled out my paperwork the same identical to the way I did last year, since I'd listed 2 people in the household (my girlfriend of 11 years), now they're using that as the reason to drop me. Even though they did not consider that a problem last year, and I'd listed 2 people as being in the household then also, this year they say that they have to have her income report also, and with that included, it puts us out of the range of coverage. Seems odd that they never asked for that information last year. I explained to the woman on the phone that my GF and I have separate insurance coverage and we each pay our own medical bills and insurance coverage, she said it didn't matter.
So if anyone knows of any other copay assistance program other than Healthwell Fdtn and Needymeds, I'd appreciate any help you can provide.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Alice

Hi Alice,
Welcome back. I'm sorry about the reason. :(
That stinks that you're being denied assitance because of some stupid technicality. :( (Sigh) Links and information about all of the assistance programs that we know about (including www.needymeds.com and Healthwell Foundation) can be found in a this thread: . Hopefully one of them will be able to help you.
Good luck!

Allysa,
Can this information be included on the main NPF website. I'd be willing to bet people come looking for this kind of information rather frequently. Having it accessible would make life a lot easier than bumping threads everytime someone is in need.

Dear chaimFL,
Thank you for your inquiry. We are currently in the process of updating the advocacy portion of the website. The list of patient programs will be posted on the site when these updates are made. I will post a message in the forum once the new web content is live to explain more about the new information. In the meantime, please let other message board users know that copies of the patient assistance program list can be obtained by e-mailing advocacy@here
