How to stay motivated
After dd was born, I only had 8 pounds to shed off. But I had ppd and used food A LOT to help me feel better and gained a lot of weight. I feel much better now and I'm getting a little better with the food. I still find it so difficult to get moving most days though. Today I've done well; I just finished a tae bo work out! I feel great, but I know that I'll have trouble keeping the momentum going.
How do you stay motivated?

Answers:
Running is my exercise and I stay motivated by blabbing incessantly on the runners' thread here, by keeping a record of my running, and by having a weekly long run with my best friend. We both have to hold up the bargain by doing our individual runs to stay in good enough shape to keep up with each other. We are also aware of one another's weight and fitness goals. We berate each other for flaking out, and we cheer for each other's achievements.
We also now train for events, which gives us another level of motivation. Don't want to cross the line dead last.:wink
I also like reading blogs of people in situations similar to mine. Community really helps.

Community really helps. Yes, listen to wise 1jooj! She has stayed motivated enough to lose lots.:bow
I go to weight watchers too, and have a great leader. weekly wi's are really motivating, and so is knowing that I'll have to pay if I'm more than 2 lbs over.
mostly though I try to remember every day why I want to lose weight and keep it off...basically I don't want to die young like my dad. that's the big reason. The smaller one is that being skinny just FEELS better and I don't want to lose that.
good luck to you!!!!! you can do it.:wink
