dry skin or eczema
Ok, so my DS has very small patch of dry skin around his nipples, if I look carefully it looks pimply. He also has some teeny tiny pimples below his eyes, noticable after he is crying. ANyway, I am not applying any lotion to those area (nor others), because I am trying to find out, if this is allergy related. So, I've been dairy free for about 10 days (I don't eat dairy a lot anyway, because of lactose intolerance) and for about 5 days wheat (other grains too), eggs, tomato, chocolate and soy free. The skin doesn't look a lot better. Sometimes it seems better, but after bath, or when he gets too hot, it seems like it's still the same. I know it's to early to see an improvement, but I'd like to know, when do you think I should see one? If I use a lotion and it goes away, does this mean it's not an allergy? And after the dry skin is gone and I start to reintroduce one food at the time, how long should I wait to be sure he doesn't react? 4 days? a week? more?
Thank you ladies!

What are you using in the bath? Is it perfume and dye free? Commercial baby wash? We only use California Baby bath products, but if you can't get them, Dove Sensitive Skin was the only soap my ds1 could handle before I found CB, was recommended by his dermatologist (he had bleeding eczema when he was a little baby.) Are his clothes 100% natural fibers, like cotton or wool? What kind of lotion?
I would say it's not mormal for a baby to have dry skin. I would think it was either something you're eating or a product you're using on his skin or clothes.
Also, do you take probiotics? If you don't, you should start.
