After discovering a cavity in my 16-month-old's mouth yesterday, I'm madly researching ways to make her teeth stronger and prevent further decay. I went out this morning and bought some cod liver oil (Nordic Naturals strawberry for kids) and probiotic supplements (Culturelle capsules) for her, as well as plain goat's milk yogurt (which has less natural sugar than plain cow's milk yogurt), and some coconut oil for myself (since I'm still nursing, and I read somewhere that also helps with nutrient absorption, though all of this information is swirling around in my head and might be getting a little mixed up!) The nutritionist at the natural grocer said that fruit could be affecting her teeth too, because of the sugar and acidity (and she does love eating frozen raspberries and drinking diluted orange juice). But otherwise, I'm clueless about what foods to give her, and what foods to avoid. Can those of you who have been researching this for awhile advise me, please?
Thanks!
Sarah
