My daughter is 21 months old and has never had any issues with food allergies. She still bfs (oops, accidentally typed bgs, lol) 2-4 times a day. We try to eat what we can organic, and she drinks organic whole milk, but probably only the equivalent of two small sippy cups a day, if that.
Anyway, today at lunch her cheeks and chin turned reddish pink--only in spots where food had touched. It didn't seem to hurt, no other symptoms. The catch is that everything she was eating she had eaten before! She had fresh raw green beans, a couple Cheezits (DH :rolleyes), unsweetened applesauce with cinnamon, corn with butter, chicken fingers, and milk.
This has only happened one other time, and that was when I made the Peanut Butter Noodles in Nava Atlas' cookbook, the 5-Ingredient Vegetarian Gourmet. Only five ingredients, so it's easy to track down the offenders! Whole wheat pasta, peanut butter (never had a reaction to that before or after), teriyaki sauce, fresh ginger, and honey.
She is also getting her eyeteeth in, which has been causing major discomfort lately. Probably not related, but just in case. Any ideas?? TIA!
