My 14 months old only have 1 and 1/2 teeth
I dont know if I should worry about this or not but can any of you moms have experience as to whether ot not this is normal?
My daughter just got her first teeth on her 1st bday and ever since then I thought her other teeth will pop up quick but what happened they are just as slowww as the first one. The second one just RECENTLY peeking out but not fully out yet that is why I put it 1/2.
Should I worry? When should I start talking to ped dentist regarding this?
Thanks in advance

I wouldn't worry, some babies just get their teeth late. DD was 11 months before she had her first tooth, and it took her a while to get all of them in.

At my dd's 1st b'day she had 2 teeth...almost! They weren't all the way in. By 2 she had more, but not a ton. Nice strong teeth. Now at 9 covered in metal 'cause they're strong but CROOKED! I was, however, sure that I'd be sending her to college in diapers and dentures.

I have to wonder if coming in later than usual and slow sort of go together. My son's teeth came in early and fast and kept coming in really fast, so that by a year, he had a dozen. So for you daughter, if the first was late to come through, maybe it's just the rate she's going to get teeth. I guess that would be my assumption (and hey, you've seen two teeth, so you know they're coming in on their own).
