What's the best way to lose tummy bulge?
I'm on the thin side but can't get rid of my tummy pouch! :LOL I hate it! :(
And, how do you manage to excercise/work out with a demanding 16 month old? :)

Wish I knew. I have 4 children and my saggy belly will never be the same again! :(

I would suggest CORE exercises on an excercise ball. Your range of motion is different than regular crunches or sit up making it IMO a better way to firm things up

Crunches and sit up are great.
You can also try dance routines like belly dancing.

I can't help you on the bulge, though I have enough to spare if anyone is just too flat :wink . What really helped me, metally more so than physically, was finding a gym with a daycare. My gym had 4 different locations so I picked the one with the best childcare. Going on off-peak times also helps to make sure the child's area isn't too crowded.

I know what you mean. My whole life I have always been pretty thin, with the exception of the "tummy bulge".
Anyhow, I have done so much research and learned about how we metabolize fat and build lean muscle that I have somewhat found a solution to this. Do not cut down on calories. This only makes your body store fat and burn your lean muscle mass causing you to gain more fat. Also, because you aren't burning your calories to heal your body on a micro level, you get tired and want to exercise even less.
Exercise is the only way to work off that bulge. Some good workouts to look at are by Denise Austin - she has some 20 minute work outs that target the tummy. They really work with great results. However what ever I suggest, the best exercise program that will work for you is the one that you will do.
Another thing that I thought really helped me was by taking a fiber supplement and plenty of water. Sometimes when you don't drink enough water, your body will retain water and usually in your tummy area. If you aren't getting enough water then your intestines can get kind of backlogged and retain a lot of yucky stuff that you don't want to retain. This retention can cause you to have a tummy bulge that water and a fiber supplement could correct. If you are nursing you want a supplement that you can safely take - I take a fiber supplement called "thins". Fiber in both soluable and insoluable are very important in the fact that your body needs and uses both. Here is a link to the thins I take -
Also, tummy retention could be due to not getting enough phyto-nutrients. These are found in whole clean food - whole vegetables, whole fruits and whole grains. Take a look at your diet and remember that you are what you eat. Also, look at the above link - it has a lot of great info!

If its only excess skin, there isn't anything you can do, really, except a tummy tuck. All the crunches in the world will give you AMAZING ab muscles, but still under all that skin. ;)
