Homeopathics for sleep issues / anxiety?
These are really two different questions:
1. Is there any homeopathic that I could use with my 6 month old who just won't sleep anymore to help him calm down? We've tried chamomille, and that works on some occasions, but not the times when he nightwakes and literally flails. He's happy, but can't seem to get his body quieted, and we end up awake for HOURS.
2. I have a horrid, terrible fear of flying, and we're about to fly across the country in just over a week. My old solution was 10mg of valium and a glass of Cognac-- worked like a charm, but not an option anymore!!! I'll be nursing, and trying to baby wrangle my baby who has just started crawling. Sounds like fun, eh? :) Are there any homeopathics that might work well for acute anxiety due to fear? Ignatia is the one I think might be right, but it seems a little off to me.
And lastly-- this is just for my own assurance-- all homeopathics are safe for nursing, right? I've heard conflicting info, and all the remedies say not to. Is that a case of CYA?? Is the effect somehow transfered through breastmilk, or is that only at the higher potencies that work more on an energy level?
Questions, questions.... thanks for imparting any wisdom you have on the matter!

1st of all homeopathics that you can buy in a store are all 100% safe for babies, kids, adults, pregnant women, and nursing women....
A good sleep remedy for babies and kids (and adults) is called Calms Forte. Most health food stores keep it on the shelves.
Another good remedy is homeopathic chamomilla or passiflora.
The chamomilla may work well for your anxiety. Another good homeopathic for stress and anxiety is by a brand called Kings Bio, and the formula is called "911 Spray". It is a liquid homeopathic and can work well for anxiety.
Another good anxiety formula is Rescue Remedy. It is not a homeopathic, it is a flower essence. Flower essences are also safe for babies, kids, and pregnant or nursing mothers.
Some safe herbal formulas you could take would be valerian. passionflower, chamomile, catnip, and skullcap. I'd say pick one of these or a combo of a couple in a tincture form and test it on yourself. Some people are sensative to these herbs and they will feel very sedated or sleepy. If you test them out first you could determine what amount you personally need to calm your nerves, but not be put to sleep.

Would crushing calms forte (Hylands) and dissolving it in water and giving it by dropper work for DS (Sleep and airplane)?
And Pavlina, I've read before that you don't use Hylands-- I'm curious as to why. That's the only brand the haelth food store carries on the island other than Boiron single remedies...
