We went camping Fri, Sat, and came home today. The whole time we were camoing (in tent with no a/c) the temp was 90-95 everyday. I kept 3 yr old dd cool in the shade when I could, took her into town twice to the store to cool off, we swam, etc. I was really conscience of not letting her get overheated. Yesterday she played hard and long with the other girls we were camping with. I brought her home this a.m. cause she didn't seem well. She was flushed and was very hot. We came into our very a/c-ed house (like dh keeps it set at 68 degrees cause her works outside). I cooled of quickly, but dd never did. A couple hours after we got home she was just laying around, kind of coughing (and my dd NEVER just lays around, ever), and her whole body was firey hot. I sat her in a cool tub and let her eat frozen juice pop after frozen juice pop. Finally i gave her a half dose of kids tylenol. Her temp went down some. Now here we are 13 hours later and she is laying in bed with a fever and the chills, restlessly sleeping, coughing and having little throat gurggles (like she's phlemmy). She's very agitated in her sleep. Could she be sick from the heat? WHat do i do for her?
