Mother's Wrist
Has anyone ever heard of Mother's Wrist??...kind of like tennis elbow... I guess it is a type of tendinitis. Any input for treatment would be appreciated. As my dd gets bigger...my pain increases when I hold her or pick her up (or try to do non-baby things with my right hand). Thanks.

Conquering carpal tunnel syndrome : and other repetitive strain injuries : a self-care program / Sharon J. Butler
She recognizes here as a setup for repetitive strain injuries! And she recommends a specific series of exercises to help. You'll need to read the introductory information, but the exercises are really easy & quick. I used some of them after ds was born and my pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel persisted (for a long time!), and I thought they helped. The techniques in the book are very gentle (i.e., I don't think you need to worry about making anything worse by using them). I was glad to find the book, as none of the medical folks I consulted could offer me any help. I did accept a shot of steroids :irked: which helped for only a few days/weeks until it wore off. Medication--not a good option because I was breastfeeding; surgery--too invasive & not always successful.
