Hello everyone,
I just started my first day with the www.clinicpsoriasis.com treatment. It's going to take some getting used to - schedule-wise. Putting oil on entire body before and after morning shower, 15 minutes of daily sunbathing after putting oil on (which mean 30 minutes - 15 minutes each side for me), 20 minutes of yoga every day.... But hey, if it works, I'll do it. I'm "sunbathing" through our windows when it's sunny outside since it is winter here.
I'm getting *excellent* customer support - I email directly to the doctor and he emails back very promptly.
The diet guidelines are kind of confusing and very vague - I'm used to the Pagano method where he lists *specifically* what we can and can't eat. This method is more about when to eat and what combinations of food you eat together. It's going to take a little time to figure it out, but maybe when I do I'll translate it into better English. Most of the directions read like they've been translated, I guess from an Indian/Hindi language.
I'll keep you posted.
Hope everyone is doing well this day.

Hey Deb......I've got my fingers crossed for you.....You can do this....I know....anyone that can stay on the lemonade fast like you did has will-power :p
keep us up-to-date...we are all anxiously awaiting...
today we have sun.....but it is not very often in Indiana this time of year! wonder if UV lamps would work?
are you on any supplements?
Answers:
I have been on the tablets and oils for a week. No change so far, although I have moved from New Orleans to England so the climate is colder and I can not get in the sun as the clinic asks.
The one thing I have noticed is my less frequent use of dovonex but this may be that I am around family and am less conscious of my psoriais because my family is very supportive. I am also very itchy today.
I will keep the forum posted each week, we all know that all treatments take time.
The clinic did tell me not to stop dovonex but slowly lower the amount of days I would use it.

ok James you are included too..... this should be interesting and a boon to the doctors clinic if you guys do well!!! hoping for both!
James are you in England for good or a visit?

I'm so glad some of you have decided to try clinic psoriases. I hope and pray you will have as much success as I have. One thing I wanted to mention is about two/three weeks into my treatment I felt I was getting worse not better! I was very upset and wrote to Dr. Dhawan. I received an excellent, quick response. Pretty much told me to hang in there...this will work. And it did!!!! One thing I did try that the doctor didn't prescribe was Bach Rescue Remedy. This particular one is for stress relief as I would find myself getting worked up because I itched, then started scraching more and it became a crazy circle. The flower essence helped me mello out.

I've been doing the psorcure treatment since November 1st and haven't really gotten as great results as some people. BUT within the first few days my scalp got better tremendously. Honestly, I did get discouraged a little bit and wasn't taking the pills as often as I should and the Immunopsor made me gag and I stopped that and that's why I'm still like this. Plus I'm a single mom and it's impossible to find time to work out each day. But I still try to sunbath through the window and for the past week, I started being really strict on myself about the pills and I'm seeing great results. Some of my p spots are clear in the center and that's how Dr. D says it's supposed to happen. Just after a week of motivating myself and really adhering to the pill regimen, I'm already seeing some improvement.
I'm going to the Dead Sea next month so hopefully when I come back, the Psorcure Treatment will help me prevent my p from getting like this again.
Hang in there, everyone!

I'm on it as well.
For the pills, I have been a little lax in taking them, but am trying to discipline myself.
The Immunospor liquid is frightfully bitter and I have run out of honey. Yet, I have been taking the drops religiously (maybe it is because of the honey).
I found the oil revolting. Since I live in the tropics, the humidity gets to me and putting oil in the morning before I get to work is something I found disgusting. I have always wanted my skin to be clear and smooth, not moist and sticky. However, I have been trying to stick to putting it on my skin every morning. Ditto for dripping my nails in the oil for 3 minutes and putting it on my scalp before bed (but I am afraid that it might stain the pillow).
The ointment takes getting used to as well. Read from somewhere that it contains petroleum jelly. However, due to some strange reason, it runs out very fast. Either that or I have been applying too much of it during the initial stages.
Effects
I am in my third week and my spots are no longer as obvious.
However, I am not sure this can be attributed to Dr. Dhawan's treatment because
(a) I have been literally slapping loads of Daivobet on my spots prior to taking on Dr. Dhawan's treatment.
(b) I have been going for the UV treatment three times a week (which is a substitute for the 15 minutes of sunbathing I cannot afford in the mornings).
In fact, new spots have appeared, which by itself, is worrying, although there are few.
Also, my nails are better. Instead of all nine of them affected by the disease being rough and unsightly, there are indications that the nails on the fingers of my left hand are growing out smoothly at the cuticle.
Again, I am not sure if this is the result of Dr. Dhawan's treatment or it is because I had been putting some cream on the cuticles religiously before starting the new treatment.
The "mounds" on my scalp are appearing once again and it worries me. I emailed Dr. Dhawan and was told that it was because I suddenly stopped spraying the Bethamethasome on my scalp when starting his treatment. Therefore, I am trying to combine both in the mornings. In fact, due to the appearance of new spots, I am very tempted to combine Dr. Dhawan's treatment with the application of Daivobet on my body, the bethamethansone spray on my scalp and the cream for my nails.
Besides this, due to my religious beliefs, I have decided to drop doing the yoga exercises.
While I would not say that I am discouraged by the appearance of the spots and "mounds", I would also not deny that the initial excitement has died down somewhat.
However, I have decided to tell myself to stick with this until the 6 months are up. In fact, I have just ordered the treatment package for the second month.
Hope this helps.

My p is thinning in some spots and i can see my skin coming through. don't lose heart!!!

hmm i wonder what happens if i just brought the pills.......do that one for three months then the other for the three months and finally the immunospor drops or whatever they are called. I'd really like to try some of this but I just cant afford 200 dollars a month right now, although if i see it curing some people here, i might just do that :)

Hi One,
clinic psoriasis is a tailor made treatment program.
So the pills that someone else or any liquids might not be what you recieve.
I contacted them a while ago and gave them all my specifics on my current health. I was told not to go off my medications and that they would work with my doctors, my case is a lil complex due to other health issues. I was given an herb to research, while doing so I found a possible interaction with a nsaid that I take. That said, I didn't have the dosage just the name of the herb. It was an herb that has an anti-inflammatory type of effect.
It's not something I'm going to entertain right now, however I thought you should know how the operation goes.
Also, they were not pushy ~ at all.
Karen
p.s. no cure yet. only remission.

Yeah I had emailed them about it about a week ago and they said they werent sure if just taking the pills or drops would help.
I was just looking at the pharmacy they have on that site and looking at the various pills and drops and reading the details. I read that some of them prevent the triggers from forming and some of them help u clear up. You take one type to clear and then another to stay clear im guessing. My thinking was that since im currently on Humira and it seems to be clearing me up pretty good, that I just take the pills that stop the triggers from occuring since I might not need the pills or oils for clearing.
Oh well........I guess I'll see how others are doing with it before I go spend 200 dollars the next 6 months.

you can just get a free diagnosis and tell them your financial situation and what you're taking, how it's working, and what you're looking for. it's worth a shot to hear what they have to say. only the dr. can really say for sure if you should just buy the pills. if you just buy them without consultation, you could just be wasting your money.

Good luck on the Humira :)
Maybe that will prevent further issues, that and the warm sun...where is that warm sun!?

Hi all
First and foremost, thank you mickels413 for your encouragement. I am still soldiering on with Dr. Dhawan's treatment for me.
Due to some miscalculation on my part, I will not be able to continue with the treatment. Since my order will be shipped rather than using the express method, the item will reach me in 15 working days time, which means I will get my stuff only three weeks from now (end Mar). My first order came on the second week of Feb, so the pills, the oil, and the ointment will be running out soon.
Dr. Dhawan advised that I wean myself off all other drugs. I will be asking him soon if there are things I should do to tide me through until I get my next batch of medication.
Some Updates
Compared to end 2005 when I was putting some triamcinoclone (prescribed by a dermatologist who, I suspect, is more comfortable with consulting patients looking for cosmetic surgery), fewer lesions are appearing. However, the "scars" of old lesions, which are no longer as obvious and appear as faint brownish-red spots, remain.
New lesions are appearing, in particular around my ankle area and my lower back. They start off protruding a little from the normal skin, before they suddenly become slightly flattened and surrounded by a "silvery" ring of old skin. Again, I am not sure if this is the effect of Dr. Dhawan's treatment or my regular trips (3 times a week) to the UV cabinet.
For nails, I am happy to report that bits of smooth nails are growing from the cuticle. However, they still look unsightly enough for me to get all self-conscious about them and stuff.
The lesions on my scalp remain, worryingly for me. I have not gotten a hair cut since late Jan 06 due to the usual fears when visiting the salon. I have not been slapping huge portions of the oil on my scalp. Maybe I should apply more of it, but I was afraid that (a) the oil would run out fast and (b) it would stain my pillows. Sigh.
(The next portion may sound gross, so avoid reading it if you do not like reading gross stuff.)
Apparently, the psoriasis has affected my "anal canal" as well. Removing dietary waste daily is fast becoming an exercise in controlling my pain. The excruciating pain comes when the waste scrapes against the psoriatic skin and it feels like someone rubbing sandpaper real hard on the anal areas.
I asked Dr. Dhawan if there is anything I could do about it and he suggested using the oil. I know I have not been doing this because applying oil at that area is simply something which I have to get used to.
(End of gross stuff)
Anyway, I will not say that the stuff is not working yet. I have ordered my second batch of medication (which must have triggered something because the day after, I received an email from Dr. Dhawan with advice on some aspects of the treatment) and will have to place my order for the third batch a week after getting my second batch of medication.
I am happy to say that the wild slapping of tons of Daivobet (Dec 05 - Jan 06), the regular trips to the UV cabinet (Jan 06 - Mar 06) and Dr. Dhawan's treatment (Feb 06 - Mar 06) have somewhat given me the liberty to wear short-sleeved T-shirts again. If I could get hold of a digital camera, I would take photos of the lesions and upload it here so that the progress can be checked.
Thanks everyone for reading. :)

Sojourner, thanks for being so open.
I ran out of medicine too so I'm using the coconut oil. I ALWAYS get it sent by courier because the first tme I ordered, I didn't get it for 31 days!!!!!! It was in customs! So to keep that from happening I get the courier and the extra oil and ointment as needed. Fortunately, my mom is willing to help me with this financially.
* Some graphic stuff *
As for me, I have been sticking to the pill regimen for 3 weeks now and I am really excited at the hope this have given me. When I first started treatment in November, I put oil on my anal canal as well. Seriously, I forgot that I even that it there until you reminded me. It went away after maybe a week at the very most. It's not painful for me anymore. And oil in my scalp every night, the HUGE bumps went down also in a matter of 2 days.
In December, I was trying all this other stuff and my skin got worse and I stopped being good with the pills so it got worse in January. Dr. D looked at my progress report, contacted me and told me to order more pills because even though it's been 3 months, I still need them because he was concerned by my slow progress.
Since February 16, I've been very good with taking my pills and forcing myself to gag down the immunopsor drops and gosh, just when I lost hope, I have it. The scaling continues to decrease. I'm starting to see my own skin in the center of my most major spots. Both of my breasts were completely covered in p. Towards the end of Oct, I had to stop breastfeeding because it was even on my nipples. (I'm only describing this so you know how bad it was) Just after 2 days of starting, my nipples don't have p on it and now I can see my own skin in the area surrounding that. My back doesn't hurt so much. When I wasn't taking my pills, it hurt just to move because of the p covering my back.
As for my face, I've been using Dovonex and Cordran tape every other day but just this past week, I haven't felt the need to use either of them.
Keep soldiering on and don't lose that hope. :)

Hello everyone,
I've been out of touch for several weeks, but I have an updated picture that I'll attach. I've been using the psorcure (www.clinichere) treatment since mid December. I got results very quickly. My skin has been basically 99% clear for a few weeks now. To say I'm thrilled would be a gross understatement. It has been worth every penny to have my old life back. I took the tablets and applied the ointments and oils as directed. I didn't pay much attention to the diet guidelines nor did I do the yoga. I jog a few times a week and ride a stationary bike for exercise. I did lay in the sunbeam by my window once or twice after applying the oils. Really, that was all I did. I was supposed to be using the treatment for 3 months. But to be honest, I cleared so quickly that I got lazy and stopped using the products. I expected to flare back up, but I have not. So, in total, I guess I used the treatment regime for 2 to 2 and 1/2 months and I got nearly clear! My children are so excited for me to actually be in a public swimming pool with them this summer, and so am I!
I talked to Dr. Dhawan today (via email) and he said I really need to stay on the treatment for the full 3 months, then he'll taper me off. And he said don't celebrate until after I go through another winter season. Rajesh called me today, too and said the same thing. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind that - I guess it is just from their experience.
I would tell anyone - give this a try. The reason I went for this (and I was just about ready to quit trying anything natural and start going for the big drugs), was because he had such a high success rate and the products were natural and steroid-free. You can also go through an entire consultation with him before deciding to spend a dime. The customer service is outstanding. I just can't say enough good things about this program. I wish I could say it will work for everyone. But it does work for most of his patients.
I thank everyone on this board who has posted things they have tried. It was because of this board that I found this regime. I am very grateful to you all!
Email me if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to help in any way I can. Don't give up - something will work!!!
The pictures below were taken November 23, December 31, January 19 and today, March 8.
Blessings,
Deb
