I know a lot of us take fish oil for P, and that there are concerns over mercury etc.
Here is a web site that rates different brands of fish oil for contaminites.

Very good information! Costco comes out OK!
But, I vote for Carlson's Cod Liver Oil, because they are careful to keep the metals out, and because it has the Omega 3's plus Vitamins A & D.
But it is spendy. You can buy it in the bottle or capsules. It should stay refrigerated.
Down at Walgreens you can buy their product for 1/3 the price (No omega 3s), and they don't say a thing about refridgeration. Makes you wonder.

I know the bottle should be refrigerated.
The capsules do not require refrigeration.
I think that since the capsules are sealed, they do not oxidize, which I think is the main issue.

I just saw my Rheumatologist this week and she said that if I switch from Lipitor to fish oil it should help my muscle pain. She also recomended Costco brand because it not only was about the least expensive but rated one of the best. Another thing she mentioned was that if you have a problem with the taste "backing up" on you. it helps to freeze the pills and swallow them frozen.

I take Nordic Naturals ProEPA in the pharmaceutical grade. I've never noticed a change in my Psoriasis taking fish oils but it's good for my heart.
