Alternate teatments , Homeopathy
I visited a homeopath 5 weeks ago and will be seeing her again Monday.
I had this idea that they would proscribe some "medication" similer to what was causing my Psoriasis , i.e Hair of the Dog.
Although she did do that the major part was to identify foods which I had a reaction too.
The list includes oranges , lemons, bananas , cauliflower which are supposed too be good for me along with coffee , wheat and yeast ( alcohol , mushrooms etc ) which are known "baddies".
I have been on vacation for a week so have slipped a little BUT basically my plaque psoriasis is now flaking more like sunburn , i.e soft flaky skin leaving NO platelets.
I stress that I have continued with the " standard treatment " and still worry about some of the statements and also why they have to use personell references to establish that it works.
If you go to a doctor with a head ache and he prescribes Asprin you don't write and thank him or worry why it worked but alternates seem to think it is important
For ME it seems to be working but it is difficult sticking to the diet and eating "healthy food " may not be as good as we have all been led to believe

Hi Cgauton,
I am most interested in hearing about your experiences with a homeopath and how you (hopefully) progress. What methods did your homeopath use to discern what your allergies are? How did you find your homeopath? Please provide as many details as you can about your visits. I know many of us are interested and need education.
Does your homeopath want you to serve as a reference for his/her prospective patients? I''m not sure if I understood what you were saying. Are the "standard treatments" you refer to your visits to an md and prescription meds? Sorry to be so dumb but thanks for your input. - kiki
