So excited!
In a very odd twist of fate I have found someone that might be able to help me in dealing with Ian's psoriasis. My husband was interviewed by one of our local TV stationsthis evening about our state's budget problems and how they could affect the teachers, which he is. The camera man was getting some pictures of the kids and we starting talking. It appears that his wife was one of the early cases of infant psoriasis. He says that she grew up in Texas and her case was written about in some of the medical papers of the time. Now he is not a very old man. I can only guess his age based on the fact that he has a 20 yr old son, so he is probably early 40 and I would guess so is she. I have emailed the reporter that was here in hopes of getting back in contact with this man.
Wish me Luck,
Carrie

Carrie,
I have had ps for 56 years, since age two. I can't help with the reporter, but just want to share one fact which may be helpful.
I don't believe ps patients are told often enough the correct way to apply the topical medications. Any topicals should be applied sparingly - the very sheerest application possible. For some strange reason, it works better this way. Lotions and creams, which are for moisturing, can be applied more thickly.
Whatever you do, do not give up hope! Things have come a long, long way in my lifetime.

Carrie,
Peggy is 100% correct about the application of the steriod creams. Less is better. The thinest application is the most effective. I learned this through experience. Call it the school of hard knocks.
Less Is Better!
