"Psoriasis can be cured" book, is it for real ?
i have bought this book called "psoriasis can be cured" by doc r.collony, i dont know if he is for real but he says psoriasis can be cured, what do you guys think about it ? the books gives some instructions like a specific diet, some herbal tablets to take, some areas of the body to treat and some food to avoid.i have been on this book for 3 weeks , there has been no clearance or whatsoever but the scales have become really soft and smooth, i mean like not hard and almost feels like skin but there still is the scales, only softer than before. so have u ever tried this book? please let me know your opinion.

Hy,
There is a lot of truth in that book if it refers to diet and foods to avoid.
A lot of people had positive results having a diet, avoid especially artificial foods.
I'm one of the persons who tried to keep a diet and I was very satisfied.
For any other questiones please contact me.

I have not read the book but there many similar ones out there.
Specific diet, herbal tablets and avoiding certain foods, will normally clear your P (it won’t cure it, although you should remain clear if you stick to the formula)
The problem is, some of these lifestyle programs are difficult to maintain over long periods, as they can be very limiting. You have to be extremely disciplined to stick with it.
For example - if I stop consuming wheat, dairy, chocolate and alcohol, my P will pretty much remain clear or be greatly reduced.
Trouble is, I adore dairy, chocolate and alcohol and want to consume them on a regular basis. So my P often hovers in the background and will flare up after I have over indulged.
Also, three weeks is not a long time, you can't expect to see results so quickly.
It normally takes at least four to six weeks to detox all the crap from your body fully. Then the things you are doing will slowly begin to work.
So you MUST give it a proper chance to work, at least three to six months.
Good luck

I think anything that contains the 'cure' word should be taken with a pinch of salt.

matt , u clearly make no sense lol, so please dont quote my sayings , the doc maybe meaning the word cure in some other sense like , if u folow the book whole life then u wont get remission , duh have that ever crossed your mind!

I understand M's comment. We have all come across books and sites that say A CURE FOR PSORIASIS! They often overpromise: claiming that they have the big secret that will keep P away for the rest of your life. Most of the time they simply suggest a diet and supplement plan that is similar to many others but they market it as being super special. If you want to go the diet/alt route, there are many suggestions on their board for free. And I'm pretty sure when the doc says CURE he is hoping you will think CURE as in GONE FOREVER!

A lot of people have reported improvements with diet. While not obtaining remission yet, diet does help keep my plague tamer. I've posted a lot on this. You'll find a lot on this in the alternative section. Put the word alternative in the search box. Good luck with it. As with every P treatment, works for some but not for all.

here is a link to Dr. Connelly's site
whether diet effects you or not it is immaterial....it does effect many of us...
stress does not effect me...but I don't put it down because it doesn't!
I can eat certain foods and within 15 minutes to 24 hours I know that I ate something I shouldn't have....dairy is a biggie for me! and I absolutely miss my morning cuppa without the cream!!!! too bad for me!
as for the words CURE, heal, all gone, remission.......just words! I hardly notice what word is used....but if it does any of those things....well! good! I had P when I was 12 and it was cured as far as I was concerned...til I turned 68....
so for 56 years I was CURED, HEALED, ALL GONE, OR IN REMISSION! who can argue about that!!! :D
what's a little syntax between words
  • peanut butter and Pagano's diet?
  • Dr. John Pagano's book
  • Ian update
  • Vitamin D
  • new to board-daughter with P
