ALTERNATIVE: Anti-Inflammatory Recipes/Ideas
Brucetta Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients:
- White Chicken Breast
- Olive Oil/Canola Oil
- Wheat Bagel
- Romaine Lettuce/Spinach
- Diced Oregano
- Sage Powder
- Garlic Powder (not "Garlic Salt" - iodized salt is no good!)
- Unrefined Sea Salt
Optional (inflammatory) Ingredients (i.e. for a guest):
- Natural Cheese
- Tomato Slice/Chunks
- Black Pepper
Directions:
(Baking the chicken breast will make it more dry but less fatty and therefor less inflammatory - but I like to pan sear for juices)
- Heat frying pan to high on stovetop
- Add choice oil (Canola Oil)
- Pan Sear chicken, 3 minutes each side
- Pan sear on low heat for approx. 5 minutes (until thickest portion is all white - NO PINK!)
- On a plate pour 2 Table Spoons Olive Oil
- Add pinch of Diced Oregano, Sage Powder, Garlic Powder, Unrefined Sea Salt (Optional: black pepper)
- Cut Wheat Bagel in Halves
- Place each half's open side down onto plate (allow oil to soak in)
- Place bagel in toaster (toast desired amount, recommend lightly brown)
- Place chicken on Wheat Bagel half
- Optional: add Natural Cheese
- Place Romaine Lettuce/Spinach on top
- Optional (for non-p people): add Tomato Slice/Chunks
Enjoy!
Why is the item good?
- no inflammatory ingredients (omitting Optional ingredients)
- chicken is high protein and good fats needed to absorb nutrients
- spinach is a power food, has protein and myriad of good nutrients to support that immune system
- olive oil aids IBS (Irritable Bowel) and oil is always good for p people
I just improvised this today, came out real tasty. Hope you dig it. ADD YOUR RECIPES, i'm looking for some life in the kitchen because I love to cook.

I'm not sure what all the inflammatory foods are, but I know this recipe is simple and good.
Alaska salmon - King, sockeye, or coho - in the lower 48, you can buy it in Whole foods
Rub it with good olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt - grey or Hawiian
Bake at 350 until the fat bubbles white to the surface: 15 minutes for a small piece, and 20-30 for a thick piece of king
