4 ALL OTHER FEMALES LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!!
IF ANYONE ELSE HAS P ON THEIR KNEES, DO YOU SHAVE THERE? AND IF SO,HOW? ONCE I GOT CARRIED AWAY AND WASN'T WATCHING WHAT I WAS DOING AND SHAVED OVER IT AND I FELT NOTHING I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW UNTIL I SEEN ALL THE BLOOD EVERYWHERE, SO I JUST STARTED TRIMMING THE HAIR THERE BECAUSE I ONCE ACCIDENTALLY GOT A LITTLE NAIR ON A SPOT AND IT BURNT SO BAD I ONLY HAVE IT ON MY KNEES AND ELBOWS FOR NOW BUT I AM TRYING TO BE A LOT MORE CAREFUL BECAUSE I BELIEVE I MADE IT SPREAD ON MY KNEES BY SHAVING AT FIRST AND THE HAIR MADE THAT SPOT REALLY RED

And though I don't have any suggestions for you, I feel your pain. I have it all over my legs so the minute I go to shave, I bleed from 15 different places!!

I use an electric shaver with a good screen guard on it (Panasonic ES2205 Wet/Dry). I still get nicks sometimes (very rarely), but I have a lot more control. And in really bad spots, I just sort of bounce it around, instead of running it along my skin. That way I can get most of the hair, but not cause too much damage. Only problem is my legs don't feel as smooth as with a real razor, but slightly rough legs is better than a thousand little cuts. And I hate bleeding through my pants when I have a bleeder I didn't catch. Avoid depilatory creams, they burn like crazy...

Hey!!
on hard spots like that, or when i am having a bad outbreak, i try to use an electric instead of just a normal razor.
Im not sure exactly what theyre called...... or even if you have them in the states.... but we have one type of razors (non electric) that have a soap thing around the blade... its called like.... Schick something or other...
anyways, those work good too
DEFINATELY NOT NAIR!! NEVER NAIR!

I would go weeks without shaving cause i was scared. But my boyfriend bought me the cleo shaver and i didnt think it would work. But let me tell you no cuts or anything and now i shave all the time. It makes me feel better knowing i have psoriasis that i can at least shave my winter coat and feel sexy again. good luck!

i've never had a problem with bleeding when shaving legs although i have p on my legs too, and to be hones, shaving off the extra skin helps me. but now i use the thing that pulls the hair out instead of shaving it off... it's better. hurts more, but lasts longer and won't make you bleed.

Right now I have little spots of P, not huge patches, so I go over them and it makes no effect. If I had patches, I'd avoid them but still shave.
I use the Gillette Mach 3 and truffett & Hill (however you spell it) uncented shaving cream. That stuff ROCKS. My legs feel way better after doing that than if I used ANY lotion.

I have/had huge patches all over my legs. My derm said that she wouldn't shave if she were me. **** HER! lol I shave, but when my p was severe, I shaved once every couple of months. Now that it's going away, I think it's a great idea to shave. I want to be sexy again. :)
Hope nobody finds my language offensive. :) I feel the need to crack out once in awhile. Who doesn't?

I have P on my knees and I wax. But I'll only ever use Nads. It's all natural and you get soothing wipes for afterwards. But I always exfoliate first so that prevents a lot of damage.

I don't shave that often, as cutting my psoriasis is painful to me. I have three large patches; one on the side of my leg, one on each of m knees. I've had success with electric razors, but i can't afford one right now.
